Reporting Overview

Reports are scheduled, shareable snapshots of your inventory. Unlike saved views (which are always live), reports capture a point-in-time picture and can be emailed automatically.

Reports vs. Saved Views​

Saved Views (Folder 05)
├─ Always live and up-to-date
├─ Fast filtering for daily analysis
├─ You pull it anytime you want
└─ Perfect for: "What do I need to do today?"

Reports (Folder 06)
├─ Snapshot at a specific moment
├─ Can be scheduled (daily, weekly, monthly)
├─ Automatically emailed to you
├─ Timestamped for comparison over time
└─ Perfect for: "Weekly review" or "Finance needs inventory value"

Both are useful. Use views for quick decisions, reports for periodic snapshots and sharing.

Core Reports​

Stockout Risk

├─ Customizable window: 7, 30, 60, or 90 days

How Reports Work​

You configure a report:
├─ Frequency: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Manual only
├─ Schedule: Day & time (e.g., Monday 7am)
├─ Period: (if applicable) 7/30/60/90 days
├─ Email: On/Off, to your inbox
└─ Save the configuration

System auto-generates on schedule:
├─ Every Monday 7am, Synplex creates a new Stockout Risk snapshot
├─ Stores it in history (you can view past reports)
└─ Emails you if you enabled notifications

You access anytime:
├─ View the latest report
├─ View past reports (March 20th, March 13th, etc.)
├─ Export as CSV or PDF
└─ Share with team

Real Example: Monday Morning Routine​

Sunday night:
└─ You configured "Stockout Risk – 7 days" to generate every Monday 7am

Monday 7:00 AM:
├─ Report auto-generates
└─ Email arrives with attachment

Monday 7:05 AM (you, checking email):

├─ See: Which ones, daily sales, stock-out dates
