Subscription Management & Billing

Understand how Synplex plans work, which plan is right for your store, and what happens when your business grows.

Plans

Synplex pricing is based on your store's trailing 12-month revenue — not the number of features you use. Every plan includes the full platform; the revenue tier determines which plan you are on.

PlanAnnual revenueFeatures
StarterUp to $100KPurchase order engine, smart replenishment, inventory reporting & insights, demand planning, custom alerts & notifications
ProUp to $500KAll Starter features + material management, kitting & production orders

Free trial

Every plan includes a free trial period. The trial is tracked in minutes, which means:

  • If you uninstall and reinstall Synplex during the trial, your remaining trial time is preserved — it does not reset
  • The trial runs from the moment you first subscribe to a plan
  • No payment is taken until the trial ends

Billing

Synplex billing is processed through Shopify's billing system. Charges are recurring every 30 days from your subscription start date.

Payment methods: Any payment method you have set up in Shopify billing — credit cards, debit cards, and other methods Shopify supports in your region.

Invoices and billing history: View these in your Shopify admin under Billing.

Synplex does not charge you directly. All billing is managed and visible inside Shopify.

How revenue tier checks work

Synplex automatically checks whether your store's revenue has grown beyond your current plan's limit. Here is exactly how that works:

When checks run

The tier check runs twice a month — on the 1st and 15th of each month at 06:00 UTC. Shops still in their free trial are skipped automatically.

What is measured

Synplex measures your store's trailing 12-month revenue, converted to USD. This conversion is done automatically regardless of your store's currency, so the comparison is always made on the same basis.

What happens if your revenue exceeds your plan limit

If your trailing 12-month revenue exceeds your current plan's limit, Synplex sends a sequence of notification emails:

EmailWhen sent
First noticeWhen the exceedance is first detected
Second reminder~15 days later
Third and final reminder~30 days later
All emails go to your store's default notification email address. The deadline shown in each email is your next Shopify billing date.

You must manually approve the plan upgrade through Shopify billing. Synplex never upgrades your plan or charges you without your approval.

If you do not upgrade by the deadline, some features will be limited until your plan is updated.

What happens if your revenue drops back under the limit

If your revenue falls back below your current plan's limit — for example after a one-off sales spike — the notification counter resets automatically. No further emails are sent and no action is needed on your part.

Special situations

If your 12-month revenue includes an unusual period that does not reflect your ongoing business (a viral moment, a one-off promotion, a bulk sale), contact support at support@synplex.dev to discuss your situation. These cases are reviewed individually.

Upgrading your plan

When you are ready to upgrade:

  1. Open the Synplex app in your Shopify admin
  2. Go to Settings → Billing
  3. Select the plan that matches your revenue tier
  4. Approve the charge through Shopify billing

The new plan takes effect immediately after Shopify confirms the approval.

Cancellation

To cancel, uninstall Synplex from your Shopify admin. This ends your subscription immediately.

  • Your data is retained for 30 days after uninstall
  • If you reinstall within 30 days, your data and any remaining trial time are restored
  • After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered

Before cancelling, contact support at support@synplex.dev — we may be able to help with whatever is causing the issue.

FAQ

Can I stay on my current plan if my revenue grows?

You will receive up to three notification emails over approximately 30 days asking you to upgrade. If you take no action, some features will be limited. You can upgrade at any time to restore full access.

Will Synplex automatically charge me for a higher plan?

No. You must approve any plan change through Shopify billing. Synplex will never upgrade your plan or charge you without your explicit approval.

What if I disagree with my revenue figure?

The revenue figure is based on your trailing 12-month Shopify order history, converted to USD. If you believe it misrepresents your business, contact support@synplex.dev with an explanation and we will review it.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is retained for 30 days after you uninstall the app. After 30 days it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Is there an annual billing option?

Contact support@synplex.dev to discuss options.
