Inventory Table Essentials & First Saved View
Your Inventory table is the central hub. It shows every product variant with status, grade, supplier, and lets you jump into actions like creating POs or opening product profiles.
What You See
Each row is a product or variant. Common columns:
- Grade – A, B, C based on contribution
- Status – Healthy, Running Low, Stock Gap, Overstocked, Out of Stock
- Supplier – Primary supplier for this product
- Location – Where stock is stored (single or multi-location)
- Stock-out date / Days to order – When you run out if you do nothing
- Tags & Shopify fields – Tags, vendor, collections, etc.
You can toggle between:
- Variant-level – Each size/color is a row
- Product-level – One row per product with aggregated totals
Creating Your First Saved View
A saved view is a reusable table layout (filtered columns + filters applied). Think of it as a one-click report you can pull up every morning.
Step 1: Hide Unnecessary Columns
- Click Columns panel
- Toggle off columns you don't need
- Keep essentials: Product, Location, Grade, Status, Stock-out date, Supplier
Less scrolling = easier scanning.
Step 2: Add Filters
Use filters to narrow products:
Example: "Grade A – Running low"
├─ Status: Running Low OR Stock Gap
├─ Grade: A
├─ Stock-out date: within next 30 days
└─ Optional: Add supplier or location filter
You can mix:
- Synplex filters – grade, status, locations, stock-out date
- Shopify filters – tags, vendor, product type, variants
Step 3: Save It
- Once columns and filters look right, click Save view
- Give it a clear name:
"Grade A – running low – 30 days" - It appears in your view selector at the top
Access it in one click from now on.
Starter Views to Create
Build at least these three:
"Today's Replenishment"
├─ Status: Running Low OR Stock Gap
├─ Grade: A
└─ Stock-out: next 30 days
"Overstock Review"
├─ Status: Overstocked
├─ Optional: Filter by supplier
"New Products"
├─ Recently added
└─ Monitor early performance
Once these are set up, you're ready to jump into creating POs from the table and exploring product profiles.
