Configuring Alerts
Alert configurations are created automatically when your shop is set up. You can't create or delete them — only adjust their behaviour to match your workflow.
How to Access
Go to Settings → Alert configs. Click Edit on any alert to open its configuration panel.
What You Can Configure
Status
Enable or disable the alert entirely. Disabled alerts never appear on the dashboard regardless of conditions.
Severity
Controls the visual priority of the alert on the dashboard:
- 🔴 Critical — immediate action required
- 🟠 Warning — should be addressed soon
- 🔵 Info — worth knowing, no urgency
Schedule
How often Synplex checks for this alert's condition:
| Option | When it checks |
|---|---|
| Every day | Daily |
| Every Monday–Friday | Once per week on the chosen day |
Logic Parameters
These vary by alert type — only the relevant fields appear for each alert:
| Parameter | What it does | Valid range |
|---|---|---|
| Days threshold | Only trigger if action is needed within this many days | 1–120 |
| Anomaly threshold (σ) | Standard deviations from normal demand before triggering. Higher = less sensitive. 2.0 is moderate, 3.0 is significant | 0.5–5.0 |
| Minimum records | Only trigger if at least this many products are affected — prevents noise from single-item fluctuations | 1–500 |
| ABC focus | Restrict the alert to A, B, and/or C classified products only | Any combination |
Cooldown Period
How many days must pass before the same alert can fire again for the same condition. Default is 7 days. Set to 0 to allow it to trigger every time the schedule runs.
Valid range: 0–30 days.
Email Notifications
Email delivery for alerts is coming soon. The field is visible but currently disabled.
Tips
Start sensitive, then tune down — begin with lower thresholds and higher minimum record counts, then raise thresholds if you're getting too much noise.
Match schedule to urgency — Critical alerts like stockout risk are worth checking daily. Informational alerts like duplicate SKUs can run weekly.
Use ABC focus to reduce noise — if you only want to act on A-grade products, set ABC focus to A only. This prevents C-item fluctuations from cluttering your dashboard.
